Competition: Stuff your Face On Colder Evenings with Paxo!

Closes: Fri, 23rd November 2012 09:30 Print

When we think of good, wholesome British food we think of a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings. A roast dinner is one of the nation's top things we love about Britain, with more than 38 million roast dinners being served in UK homes last year. And what better way to warm yourself up this October than with a traditional British roast.

Sunday is the traditional day we sit round the table with our families to enjoy good conversation and a good hearty roast. Yet a Sunday shouldn't be the only day we get to enjoy these luxuries, a roast dinner with our families can be indulged on any day of the week. We all have our favourite part of a roast; some like the crispy roast potatoes, some are partial to the juicy carrots, but an essential item which brings it all together is definitely the stuffing.

Paxo stuffing was invented in 1901 by John Crampton, a butcher, who wanted to make Sunday lunches more exciting. And he certainly did that. Available in a range of seven great-tasting flavours, there's a stuffing designed to complement all kinds of meat. A favourite for us Brits is Paxo's traditional Sage and Onion stuffing, the perfect compliment for your roast chicken dinner, with roast turkey and roast pork being the next most frequently eaten meats with a roast. If you're a fan of pork, you can add Paxo Sage and Onion with a hint of apple to your dinner or why not have a Christmas dinner with a twist with Paxo's Chestnut & Cranberry to compliment the turkey perfectly.

Paxo stuffing is available in three ranges: Sage & Onion which is the classic stuffing flavour; Variants which are Sage & Onion with a hint of Garlic, Lemon or Apple; and Celebrations which are a bit more special. For more information visit www.paxo.co.uk

To celebrate one of the most popular British dishes, Paxo are giving you the chance to win a beautifully presented presentation box containing 6 lovely placemats with matching coasters, 2 serving mats, salt and pepper mills, stylish napkins and pillar candles, as well as the most important part of a roast dinner - Paxo Stuffing!
