I would like to express my appreciation of the work of the local police and residents, with Soverign Housing Association, in getting an

injuction against the teenage ringleader of the anti social behaviour on Heroes Walk (The Chronicle, January 24).

The neighbourhood policing that has recently been introduced in Whitley is already showing results that benefit the community.

Nie wiem po co bylo tyle szumu o WSS. Ksiazka ta zostala okrzyknieta jako arcydzielo, a przeciez jest chaotyczna, te przeskoki narratorow powoduja, ze czlowiek gubi watek. Jean Rhys przez lata nic nie napisala, a potem wystartowala z WSS. Moim zdaniem, tylko popsula swietna opinie o Jane Eyre. Ksiazka ta nie wnosi nic co warte byloby do zapamietania. To, ze pokazala Jamajke i ich zwyczaje, nie stwarza innej perspektywy. Kiedys czytalam opinie o WSS i Jane Eyre, jedna glupia istota napisala, ze po przeczytaniu WSS, Jane Eyre juz nie miala dla niej takiego znaczenia i zaczela patrzec na ksiazke Charlotte Bronte z innej perspektywy. Jezeli Rhys miala taki cel- to dopiela swego. Szkoda tylko,ze sprofonowala tym samym Jane Eyre, ktora jest najlepsza ksiazka opisujaca losy i zycie guvernantek. Losy Jane Eyre w literaturze angielksiej uchodza za najbardziej znane i ubostwiane. WSS jest dobra pozycja, ale nie umywa sie do Jane Eyre.
