Binfield's heroics honoured

BINFIELD were presented win an FA award last weekend to honour their 3-2 success against Fareham Town in the FA Vase last month.

The Moles were named as the team of the round for the win against the Hampshire outfit and FA representative John Christopher (right) visited Stubbs Lane on Saturday to mark the achievement.

He presented proud club chairman Rob Jones (left) with a plaque before Binfield's 5-1 win against Bisley Sports.

The club also received a cheque, 20 tickets for the FA Vase Final at Wembley and 6 cases of Carlsberg, the competition's sponsor.
