Pete Browning saw his side throw away a three goal lead on Tuesday night.

SANDHURST were rocked by three goals in the final 20 minutes as they threw away a commanding lead to draw 3-3 against Wembley at Yorktown Road on Tuesday night.

A Pete Mulvaney hat-trick looked to have given the Fizzers a deserved and convincing win, but the game was swung on its head when two substitutions led to a loss of concentration by the home side.

Just seconds after Mulvaney and Danny Wilde had been brought off, Wembley pulled one back and within 15 minutes they’d added another two and completed a remarkable comeback.

Shocked Fizzers boss Pete Browning said: “It was pretty horrifying. We played so well in the first half, the best we’ve played all season.

“We got ourselves 3-0 up but then I took Pete and Danny off and that ended up being the worst thing I could have done.

“It disrupted the side and they lost concentration and all of a sudden it was 3-3. Maybe I have to take some responsibility for the changes but we still should have been able to see it out.”

Sandhurst: Ewen, Weston, Fairminer, Wilson, Williams, Wilde, Hogston, Nesbitt, Chasker, Mulvaney, Corbett. Subs used: Payne, Selby.
