A TEAM from Bracknell-based Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs have been helping in the hunt for a missing teenager who was last seen a week ago today.
Fifteen-year-old Jonathan Marques was last seen in Rose Kiln Lane after leaving his Whitley home for school and his frantic family are desperate to hear from anyone who knows where he is.
The team of 13 from Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs were called in on Sunday and helped teams of volunteers from South Wales, Hampshire, Sussex and Norfolk search the area around the A33, near the M4, with assistance from SEBEV Search and Rescue and Buckinghamshire Search and Rescue.
Police have appealed for people to search their sheds and outbuildings because Jonthan left home without money, a phone, passport or belongings, so may still be in the area.
Readers can also help the search by putting up a specially-designed poster.
Distraught dad Menino Marques said: "Anybody who knows anything about Jonthan, please phone the police.
"Jonathan, if you are there, just give us a call and tell us you are safe. Please come home. We love you and we miss you. Please come home."
At the weekend around 50 of Jonthan's friends and family wore T-shirts with his picture on and handed out posters along Southcote Lane, trying to jog the memory of anyone who may have seen the slim 5ft lad with messy black hair and braces on his teeth.
Jonathan is Asian, 5ft and slim.
He left home at 8.30am to walk to Blessed Hugh Faringdon School in Fawley Road, Southcote, wearing his school uniform of maroon jumper and black trousers, but he never arrived.
Anyone with any information should contact Thames Valley Police on 08458 505505.

Did he take a bus to school? Have Reading Transport been asked to put the posters on the buses in and around his normal route to school? If he walked, has someone put posters of his usual route to jog any memories? Just a suggestion.
