Robbers hit bank
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a bank.
The robbers threatened security officers and stole money before escaping in a getaway car.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident at the Halifax bank in Market Place, Wokingham, in the early hours of this morning at 12.30am.
The offenders forced their way in while security officers were delivering money. No one was injured.
They threatened the officers before taking an undisclosed amount of money.
It is believed that they left the area in a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf and there have since been reports of this car being seen in Pale Lane, Winchfield, Hampshire, at around 1.30am.
Det Sgt Carl Bradford, from Loddon Valley CID said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen people or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area before the incident or who saw the offenders leave the town centre afterwards.
“Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in tracing these two men.”
