Teenager punched during nightime attack

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old boy was punched in the face.

The attack happened around midnight on Friday last week (May 9) in Woosehill Spine Road in Wokingham.

There was an altercation between two groups of youths which resulted in the victim being assaulted.

Investigating officer Det Con Gillian Dunning, of Loddon Valley CID, said: “I am particularly keen to speak to a man and two women who stopped to help the victim and make sure he was ok, as I believe they may be able to help with our investigation.”

•A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed to return to Loddon Valley police station on June 7.
